Terms of Service

1. What Hooty is
Hooty is a read-only multi-chain portfolio tracker. It reads publicly available on-chain data for the wallet addresses you choose to track and presents them in a single view. Hooty is non-custodial: it never takes control of your funds, and it never asks for your private keys or seed phrase.
Hooty is provided for informational purposes only. Nothing in the service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Balances, prices and positions come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate.
2. Accounts and wallet connection
You can use Hooty anonymously. To sync across devices and unlock paid features you can sign in by signing a message with your wallet (no transaction, no gas). That signature only proves you control the address; it grants Hooty no ability to move your assets. Your account is identified by the address you sign in with. Keep your wallet secure — anyone able to sign for it can access your account.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its data at scale.
- Track only addresses you are entitled to monitor.
4. Plans and pricing
Hooty offers a free tier and two paid tiers. Prices are denominated in USDC and charged per access period:
- Free — core tracking, limited number of wallets.
- Plus — 6.99 USDC per 30-day period.
- Pro — 12.99 USDC per 30-day period.
New accounts may receive a one-time free trial with Pro-level access for a limited period. Feature availability per tier is described in the app and may evolve over time.
5. Payment, access duration and renewal
Paid access is purchased by an on-chain payment in USDC (on the Base network) from your connected wallet. Each successful payment grants 30 days of access to the tier you paid for, tied to your signed-in address. Paying again extends your access; time stacks on top of any remaining period.
Access does not renew automatically. Because payment is a manual on-chain transaction, Hooty never charges your wallet on its own — you choose if and when to pay again. When a paid period ends without a new payment, the account simply reverts to the free tier.
6. Cancellation
There is no recurring subscription to cancel. To "cancel", simply don't renew: you keep the features you paid for until the current period ends, after which the account returns to the free tier. No further action or payment is required.
7. Refunds
On-chain USDC payments are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If a payment fails to unlock the access it was made for due to a fault on our side, contact support and we will restore the access or make it right.
8. Support
Support and any request under these terms are handled through the in-app feedback option in Settings. We aim to respond within a reasonable time. There is no guaranteed response time for the free tier.
9. Third-party data and availability
The service depends on third-party blockchain nodes, indexers and price providers, and on the networks themselves. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that data is accurate, complete, or continuously available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hooty and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the information shown, from decisions you make using the service, or from the unavailability or inaccuracy of data. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
11. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update, add, or remove features, tiers, or prices, and we may revise these terms. Material changes take effect when the updated terms are posted here, indicated by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your place of residence.
